Destiny 2 Calabrese Error Code – What it means & fixes

Posted by Martina Birk on Sunday, March 26, 2023

It is typical for a live-service game to run into some issues. Destiny 2 is no stranger to this, and fans have become familiar with the various error codes that the game sometimes gives them. With all large updates, Bungie will add a few more error codes. One of these codes you might receive is called Calabrese, and here is how you can fix it.

Bungie's help page states that the Calabrese error appears due to testing or maintenance they are doing on their end. This code is a new code added with Season 16. Players can get this code at any time, and it will remove them from whatever they are doing. This error can be a general networking error code, as well, meaning if your internet connection has been interrupted, you could receive this code.

The only way you can attempt to fix this error is to ensure that you have a stable internet connection. If you have done this and confirmed that your internet is not the issue, then there isn't anything more you can do. This error is on Bungie's end, and you will just have to wait until Bungie releases a fix. Luckily, Bungie is pretty good about communicating to fans when any errors are found, and you can keep track of error statuses on the Bungie Help Twitter Page.

While it is unfortunate that there is nothing the player can do to fix the Calabrese error, players can find solace in the fact that the issue is most likely due to Bungie just performing background maintenance.
