Destiny 2: How to vote for Mechs or Monsters for this year’s Festival of the Lost armor

Posted by Beatrice Clogston on Wednesday, February 15, 2023

It is time once again for Bungie to add another Universal Armor Ornament set to the Eververse store with Festival of the Lost 2022. The developers have decided that the players should get a say, and now for the second time ever, the community can take part in a vote to decide which new Universal Armor Ornament set will be added to the game. Here is how you can place your vote for your preferred Armor Ornament Set.

How to place your vote for Mechs or Monsters

If you are interested in voting for either the Mech armor or Monster armor in the community vote, you will want to ensure that you are signed up for email communications on your bungie.net account. You can do this by visiting your Account Settings, then selecting Notifications and Email. Here you can input your email address so you can receive communication from Bungie, as well as the link to the vote.

Once you have signed up for email communications or if you already were, then all you have to do is wait for the voting polls to open. Now just watch your email as the polls will be open from April 7 until they close on April 13, so make sure to cast your vote before then. Casting a vote for one of the Armor Sets will get you the free Broken Barrier emblem distributed to all eligible players on April 19. Bungie will then announce the Armor Set that won the vote at a later date.

What are the Mech and Monster Armor Ornaments

This year's vote for the Festival of the Lost Universal Armor Ornament Set pins two quite familiar topics from pop culture against each other. You have armor inspired by Mechs and armor inspired by Monsters.

The Mech armor fits our Guardians with mobile suits used to help fight the monsters of Sol. This armor is clearly inspired by Gundam, and the unique and bold colors are sure to provide some interesting shader options

The Monster armor seems to head in the complete opposite direction than the Mech Armor. Instead of fitting our Guardians with thick armor to fight our enemies, it seems to turn our guardians into Monsters themselves. Maybe the only way to defeat a Monster is to become one.

Regardless of which Universal Armor Ornament Set you like best, there is no denying that either of them will be a great addition to the game. However, if you want your favorite to have a better chance of winning, be sure to cast your vote!
