The Unicorn is a popular, but difficult to obtain pet in Adopt Me. If you've been playing this game quite a bit in Roblox, then you've likely had your eyes set on one of these little pets. So, we're taking a look at all of the ways you can get a Unicorn in Adopt Me!
How to Get a Unicorn
You can get a Unicorn either by hatching it from specific eggs or trading for one from another player. There's other less reliable methods like purchasing one through a third party seller, or you could maybe get extremely lucky and win one from a YouTuber. Those methods aren't recommended, especially purchasing one because you never know when you might run into a scammer.
Obtaining Eggs
A unicorn can be hatched from three different eggs: Cracked Egg, Pet Egg, and the Royal Egg. The higher the cost of the egg, the more likely you are to get one. However, the Unicorn is a legendary rarity pet, so that means it's a very low percentage to hatch one, even in the more expensive eggs. Here's a look at the likelihood of getting the Unicorn out of each egg:
- Cracked Egg ($350): 1.5% Legendary Chance
- Pet Egg ($600): 3% Legendary Chance
- Royal Egg: ($1,450): 8% Legendary Chance
Now, I've seen people discuss that they have gotten more Legendaries out of a Cracked Egg than they have in a Royal Egg. That might be true that they experienced that, but it does not mean you have a better chance to get one in a Cracked Egg. You will ALWAYS have a better chance to get one out of a Royal Egg because the percentage chance is higher. You can absolutely get lucky and get one out of a cheaper egg, but it is all just luck at the end of the day. Trading
The other way to get a pet that is somewhat reliable is trading other players. Look for a player in the chat who is trading a Unicorn and hope you have a pet or two that they want. This can be a hard way to get one because you'll never know for sure what someone might want from you. However, you can also get really lucky and have someone trade you for stuff you might not even want!
Other Methods
As I mentioned previously, there's a couple of less reliable options you could try. A lot of YouTubers give pets away, but getting a Unicorn this way would require you to get very lucky and for the YouTuber to actually be credible. I wouldn't trust anyone with low sub-counts, because they are likely just trying to get people to subscribe and won't really give out pets.
The other way is using something like eBay to purchase a pet. While this would likely work, you do have to be careful with this because there's always a chance of you being scammed. I would only ever purchase something from someone on eBay who had a lot of successful sales on their profile and has good standing on the site. Anyone who is new you have to immediately be suspect of because you don't know if they are trying to scam you or not!
Golden Unicorn
There's another way to get a Unicorn, but it's not the white version of it. You can get a Golden Unicorn out of the Golden Egg! This egg can be obtained through Star Rewards which require you to login daily to collect. If you save up enough of these, you will eventually accumulate enough to purchase the egg. This still isn't a guaranteed method because you can get either a Golden Unicorn, Griffin, or Dragon from one of these eggs.
Diamond Unicorn
There's also going to be an even harder to get Star Reward option that will be the Diamond Unicorn! This isn't officially in the game yet, but will take an extremely long time to get because you will need to login for around 480 days to get enough stars to purchase the Diamond Egg. You are also not guaranteed to get it, because there's Diamond Griffin and Dragon versions as well!
Neon Unicorn
A Unicorn can be turned into a Neon pet if you can obtain four normal Unicorns and age them up to Full-Grown. This is obviously pretty difficult because getting just one is a large task. You can check out our how to make a Neon Pet guide for more details!
