Fortnite is a game that is much more enjoyable when played with friends, but what if none of your friends play Fortnite? Epic Games has made a way to get some of your friends to start playing with you, or come back to the game. Here is how you can refer a friend in Fortnite.
This first step to referring a friend in Fortnite is to make sure both of you are friends in-game. Then, the person who is going to refer a friend can sign up on the Refer a Friends website with their Epic account. This person then has the ability to refer up to five friends to play the game. The referrer and referee can then earn points in-game for playing together.

Qualifications
In order for a friend to qualify as a referee, they must have less than 120 minutes of playtime in a core Battle Royale game mode within the last 30 days. The points you earn while playing together will be accumulated and unlock specific rewards after meeting certain thresholds. The final challenge, unlocked when referrers and referees level up their accounts by 60 levels, will unlock the Rainbow Racer Outfit!
Be advised this program is currently in Beta and is subject to change. Players have between Oct. 25 and Nov. 14 to invite friends, then they have until Jan. 10 to complete the tasks together.
There you have it, that is how you refer a friend in Fortnite. This may just be the perfect opportunity to get your old squad back together or create a new one with friends who have never played. Plus, as if playing with friends isn't enough of a reward, you can even earn some extra goodies for doing so.
