If you're looking to get Eggs in Raft then you've come to the right place! We're going over exactly what you need to obtain Eggs, and what they can be used for as you continue your struggle to survive while floating around on an increasingly large raft.

Eggs used to be obtained by creating a nest and waiting for a seagull to land in it. They would fly away and leave feathers and eggs. They now only leave feathers. Eggs now require you to do a bit of farming to obtain. You'll also need to catch a relatively newly added animal to the game...

Catching a Clucker

To get eggs, you're going to need to catch yourself a Clucker. These only spawn on Large Islands, which can only be found after you've encountered the Radio Tower. This requires you to create a Receiver and use it to locate the tower. Once you've done that, you will be able to navigate to Large Islands by using the Receiver!

Once you reach one of these islands, you are going to need to make a Net Launcher. This is required to catch yourself a Clucker, Goat, or Llama. To make a Net Launcher, you will need 2x Scrap, 4x Plastic, 1x Metal Ingot, and 2x Bolts. Once you've got that, you will need ammunition for it called, Net Canisters. To make these, you will need 1x Explosive Powder, 4x Rope, and 4x Stone. Explosive Powder can be obtained by killing Poison-Puffer Fish and smelting the Explosive Goo that is dropped by them. These fish spawn around Large Islands!

How-to Get Eggs

Once you nab yourself a Clucker, you're going to have to create a grazing space for your newly acquired bird. You'll need some Grass Plots for them to eat and some fencing to keep your animals in place. To create the Grass Plots, you require 2x Dirt, 6x Planks, and 4x Plastic. Dirt is actually a bit harder to acquire than you'd think. You'll need to look around on Large Islands for patches that look similar to Sand. You will also need a Shovel to collect the dirt.

Your Cluckers will eat the grass, and eventually you'll find Eggs randomly being laid! You need to make sure to keep your Grass Plots watered. You will need to purify some water and then throw it on the grass via a cup or bottle. If it rains, that will also water the grass. If you want to get really advanced, you can eventually create a Sprinkler that will automatically water it for you!

Egg Recipes

You can just eat an Egg raw to gain sustenance and hydration, or you can add it to your Cooking Pot to create a couple of different dishes (check out all of the Cooking Pot Recipes). You can make a Fish Stew, which requires 1x Egg, 1x Bucket of Milk, and 2x Raw Mackerel or Tilapia. There's also the Mushroom Omelette, which can be made with 1x Raw Potato, 2x Egg, and 1x Cave Mushroom.

Eggs can also be used to create a Healing Salve. This requires 2x Eggs and 1x Clay to make, and will heal you for 25% of your total health once used!
